Privacy Policy For Next Generation Modders
The NGH VIP Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive data to the developers or any third party.
User credentials are compared locally against a GitHub-hosted JSON file containing encrypted hashes. Passwords are never stored or sent elsewhere.
The extension downloads a file (Membership.json) containing encrypted script modification instructions, which are decrypted locally using a static key.
Username may be saved in chrome.storage.local for personalization and redirection purposes.
The extension uses the following Chrome permissions:
storage: To save local user state (e.g., login status and username).
declarativeNetRequest: To optionally redirect specific script URLs after user confirmation.
host_permissions: To allow the extension to intercept URLs ending in /WarCommander.js for redirection.
While the extension does not collect or store user data remotely, it makes the following remote requests:
Fetches JSON files from GitHub to validate users and retrieve script data.
Optionally POSTs modified Scripts and username to an obfuscation service (http://api.nextgenerationmodders.org/obfuscate) only when chosen by the user.
No personally identifiable information is shared, and all actions are initiated on user interaction.
The extension does not use cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics of any kind.
The extension depends on:
GitHub for securely hosting encrypted data files.
A single optional obfuscation API to protect modified scripts upon user request.
No other third-party services are used.
We may update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be reflected here along with a revised effective date.
